The EinScan H uses both LED structured light and invisible infrared light in one device. Standard scanners typically use only visible light which struggles with dark surfaces and reflective materials. The infrared mode reliably captures black objects, human hair and shiny surfaces that would normally cause scanning failures. This dual approach eliminates the need for surface preparation sprays in most situations.
Point accuracy reaches 0.05mm with volumetric accuracy of 0.1mm per metre. This matches many industrial metrology systems costing significantly more. The accuracy specification means measurements taken from scanned models will be within 0.05mm of the actual object dimensions. For comparison, human hair thickness ranges from 0.05-0.1mm, so the scanner captures details at this scale.

The ExScan H software exports standard formats including STL, OBJ, PLY and ASC point clouds. The included SolidEdge software accepts these formats directly for reverse engineering workflows.
